Dr. Seuss’ birthday is coming up next month, so now is the time to start getting your Seuss activities for kids lined up! When I saw Debbie of Rainbows Within Reach was hosting a blog hop to celebrate, I just had to jump in. We are big Dr. Seuss fans here!! I am so excited to share with you a round-up of Dr. Seuss Activities for Kids! I hope this will be a great resource for parents, teachers, and homeschoolers!!
Dr. Suess’ birthday is March 2nd. This year most celebrations will happen on Friday, March 1st since his birthday falls on a Saturday.

Here are a few of our Dr. Seuss activities we’ve done:
We made DIY Truffula trees as an art project! They were super fun to make and turned out really great. We used them in a Lorax-themed sensory bin we made. Later we also crafted DIY Lorax characters for our bin. The kids had lots of pretend play fun!
We also really enjoy listening to Seussical the Musical. It was the feature of one of our Monday Musical series posts. Listening to the musical encouraged us to go to the library to check out all the books referenced in the music that we hadn’t heard before. I was shocked there were so many Dr. Seuss titles we had never read!!
Here are a few more Seuss-themed activities:
- Dr. Seuss’ Oobleck from Mom to 2 Posh Lil Divas
- The Foot Book Activities from Mom to 2 Posh Lil Divas
- Grinch Activities for Kids from Growing a Jeweled Rose

Here, too! Green Eggs and Ham was my absolute favorite book growing up. I think I know the whole thing by heart.
